3 Fast Things
I mentioned last write-up that I was religiously stretching each day and that it was all going to amalgamate to a full video… well, surprise, it has. I implore you to watch it and when I say implore you to watch it, I really am begging. Watch it here.
I have now been in London for over two months. And I have one final week left. I have managed to secure 5x house/pet sits in that time, saving me thousands of dollareedoos in accommodation costs. Out of the 71 nights I have slept here, I paid for 2x nights in hotels and that’s it. My next video is actually titled “I’m Never Paying Rent Again”. It’ll be a fun one.
I’d like to think a little more about this before I unpack it with you, but I’ve been thinking a lot about loneliness of late—what causes it, why we experience it, how to battle it. I guess these thoughts are a direct result of being by myself for a couple of months. I’ve seen various friends here and there, but I’m still a long way from home, ya know? Anyhoo, just therapy-ing myself here. Hold that thought.
1 Slow Thing: I Stretched for 30 Days Straight
The funniest part of this experiment, which I will share with you as a little bit of newsletter exclusivity (it’s not in the video), is that I actually injured myself on Day 29.
Lol.
I was trying to get a good picture for my thumbnail, which is ridiculously difficult to do when you don’t have friends around to take pictures of you. It’s a one-woman job when you’re a loner.
Anyway, I wanted to try and get as close to this as I could.
But when I tried I actually heard something tear in my hip and ended up hobbling around the next few days 🫣
Such a dweeb.
As a result of said injury, I did not get a good picture for my thumbnail and I’m not completely happy with it, but it’s the best I could do without a photographer.
I’ll do better next time.
